You finished the course. Now what?
The awkward gap between understanding AI and actually using it. Here is the bridge.
So you get it now. You know what Claude is. You know what an agent is. You know AI is not coming for your whole job.
And you are sitting there thinking: okay, but what do I actually do on Monday?
This is the real gap. Not understanding. Doing.
Do not build a system yet
Your instinct is going to be to build something impressive. Fight that.
The first thing you build should be almost embarrassing in how small it is. Small things finish. Finished things teach you something. Big things sit half done and quietly convince you that this was not for you after all.
Pick the thing you did twice this week
Not the biggest problem. Not the most annoying one. The most repeated one.
Go back through your week. What did you type more than once? What did you look up twice? What did somebody ask you that somebody also asked you last Tuesday?
That is your first job. Repetition is the tell.
Give it away and watch closely
Hand that one job to AI. Do it live, watching, ready to take over.
It will get it about eighty percent right. That is normal and that is fine. Your job is not to make it perfect. Your job is to notice which twenty percent it missed, because that tells you what it did not know.
Usually it did not know something that lives only in your head. So you tell it. Next time it is at ninety.
Then do it again next week
That is the loop. One small job. Watch it. Correct it. Keep it.
Four weeks of that and you have four jobs off your plate and a real feel for what this stuff is good at. That is worth more than any course, including ours.
When to stop doing it yourself
At some point you will want something that runs without you sitting there. A helper that checks things overnight. A board that updates itself.
That is a different kind of work, and it is where most people stall out. That is also where we come in.
Understanding AI takes an afternoon. Getting value from it takes four small Mondays in a row.
